Give yourself a garden surprise - with Spring bulbs

Now is the time to choose some spring bulbs to add splashes of colour to your garden from next March. Plant them now, forget all about them, and they will appear from nowhere in a few months to surprise and delight you when you are not expecting it.

  

Imagine yourself on a spring day, pottering in the garden, wondering what needs pruning, or doing a bit of tidying up. Then suddenly something beautiful will catch your eye and give you something to stop and admire.

GREEN FINGERS TIP: Think ahead to where the gaps will be after other plants have died down in winter. Use spring bulbs to fill these spaces before your borders start to grow strongly again at the start of the season.

What will you choose? Crocuses, Daffodils, Tulips, Anemone blanda and Fratilleries will all add colour and interest to your borders in Spring. They are all widely available in garden centres now.
